Re: Are current footballers pansies
Due to the weather in 85-86 we had a serious amount of games in a short period as well including several replays against Ipswich in the FA Cup.

My argument to anyone who claims it's harder nowadays, is that it may be quicker etc, but they don't have to play on muscle draining bogs like they used too and are fitter than players used to be anyway.

The entire world has become a bit of a cunt really and full of poofs who want to find offence in literally everything.

Yes, basically.

We didn’t exert ourselves against Wigan, in order to get a point against the mighty Palace! Even the commentator on the radio on Saturday was saying the last thing West Ham need is a replay. Meat and drink to Bonzo, old man Lampard and his ilk.

Modern football certainly seems to have become a limp wristed affair.

But at least we don't look like grinning trolls who have gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson.

Oh, and we don't have penises.

Re: Are current footballers pansies
It's a different game to what it was.
It used to be more about footballing ability but now it's about pure athleticism which pushes the body to it's maximum. That's why players get injuries like they do and that's why they are jaded or tire.

It would be interesting to measure the distances run back in the day, sprints etc to see how much modern day training methods have altered things.
